On 2. 3. 2023, at around 11 o’clock in the morning, a force of over 100 troops of Wan Hai Shan State Progress Party (SSPP) attacked the troops of Restoration Council of Shan State/Shan State Army (RCSS/SSA) at Nam Tawt in Kun Hing township. The battle is still going on until the afternoon when this news is written.
It has been 4 months since the RCSS has called for peace talk and the response is this armed clash. We are sad together with our people who are expecting unity because one sided effort to talk peace by RCSS has not been successful.
